Yaode JN is a visual practitioner and creative force within Taiwan’s subcultural and contemporary art scenes, opening up new modes of perception and engagement through an artistically attuned lens. His work demonstrates a meticulous yet emotionally resonant command of visual and cultural codes, navigating the non-normative strata of human experience with both precision and sensitivity.
As a designer, he has collaborated with leading institutions such as the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Hong-Gah Museum, and Parco Museum Tokyo, among other cultural organisations, contributing to cross-cultural dialogues through experimental visual narratives. He has also maintained a long-term collaboration with the Taipei Art Book Fair, where he has played a key role in shaping and sustaining its brand identity. His practice further includes close collaborations with contemporary artists such as Manbo Key, Wang Hsiang-Lin, and Teng Chao-Ming, as well as long-term collaboration with the art collective HomoPleasure Collective, alongside commissioned projects with techno collectives that have significantly shaped Taiwan’s independent sonic and cultural landscapes.
